Required Shopify Settings

Specific product and order settings are required in Shopify in order to use the integration.

Required Shopify Product Setting

Important: For IntelliTrack to import and track a Shopify product, it must use the “Shopify tracks this product’s inventory setting” for the product in the Inventory Policy field. This is a Shopify setting.

To verify that your Shopify product uses this setting, follow these steps.

  1. In Shopify, go to your main Store page.
  2. In the navigation area to the left, select Products.
  3. The Products page appears. It lists all of your products.
  4. To check the settings for a particular product, select this product.
  5. The page for this product appears. If the product contains any variant, a product is listed for each variant.
  6. When a product contains a variant, each product-variant must be checked.
  7. For the product, or the product-variant, select the Edit option.
  8. A page appears that shows information about the product.
  9. Find the Inventory > Inventory Policy portion of this page.
  10. Make sure the option: “Shopify tracks this product’s inventory” appears in the Inventory Policy field. (Select this option by clicking on the up-down arrow in the field underneath the Inventory Policy label.

Required Shopify Order Setting

Important: In Shopify, the “Automatically archive the order” setting must be used when you integrate it with IntelliTrack. This is a Shopify setting.

To verify that your store uses this setting, follow these steps:

  1. In Shopify, go to your store Settings (lower left hand corner of the main page of the Shopify store admin website).
  2. Select Checkout.
  3. Go down to the Order processing section.
  4. Find this field:"After an order has been fulfilled and paid", and the checkbox setting "Automatically archive the order." Mark this checkbox setting to enable it. (This setting is required with the IntelliTrack for Shopify integration.)
