Packages Data

The package information is consolidated at the Packages Data page. From the Packages Data page, you are able to view all the packages. Select Packages > Packages Data from the navigation pane to reach this page.

Note: In order to reach this page, the role of the logged-in user must include the Package Data feature.

Package Status

Each package has a status. The package status determines the actions you may perform on a package.

Expected: an expected package's arrival at your facility is pending. This package must have a tracking number and a recipient. This package may be edited or deleted.
Received: a received package has arrived at your facility. It has a site, location, and recipient. Delivery is pending for a package with a "received" status. By default, a package with a "received" status is automatically displayed at this page. This package may be edited or deleted.
Delivered: a delivered package has been delivered to its intended recipient or mail stop; it has a site, location, and a recipient. When the package is delivered, the package record is read-only: it is no longer considered active in the system and may not be edited or deleted. By default a package that has the status of "delivered" is not displayed. You must mark the Show Delivered/Lost Packages checkbox to view a delivered package.

Lost: a lost package has been received into the system and it has a site, location, and intended recipient. However, this package has not been delivered to its intended recipient nor can it be located. A lost package may be edited or deleted. By default a package that has the status of "lost" is not displayed on the page. You must mark the Show Delivered/Lost Packages checkbox to view a lost package.

Note: We recommend purging the delivered packages periodically to keep the size of your package list from getting too large. Purging the delivered packages removes them completely from the system.

Page Actions

You are able to work with the package record in various ways at this page.

Edit Package: edit an expected, received, or lost package record via the Edit Package form.
Delete Package: delete a package record.
Purge Packages: purge all delivered or lost packages or purge lost or delivered packages by age or recipient group. You may also elect to purge the associated recipients when purging packages.
Field Chooser: use the page’s field chooser to customize the Packages Data page grid by selecting the fields you want to display there.
Show Lost/Delivered Packages: the Show Lost/Delivered Package checkbox is found underneath the grid, in the bottom right area of the page. Mark this checkbox to view lost or delivered packages in the grid.
