Editing an Item
An item is edited (or changed) from the Edit Item form. This form is reached from the Manage Items page.
Editable Information
You are able to edit information such as:
- Item Number: change the item number.
- Alternate Item Number: add or change the alternate item number.
- Description: add or change the item's description.
- Comments: add or change an item comment.
- Lookups: add a lookup to the item or change existing lookups assigned to the item.
- Picture: add a new picture or remove the current picture.
- User Defined Fields: You are able to edit the unit of measure or add additional units of measure to the item.
How to Edit an Item
Note: In order to edit an item, the role of the logged-in user must contain edit access to the Items feature.
To edit an item:
- Select Manage > Items from the navigation pane.
- The Manage Items page appears. The items in the default division of the logged-in user are displayed.
- To edit an item, select the Item that you want to edit and then select the Edit icon to the far right.
- The Edit Item form for the selected item appears. The Item Details tab is to the front. For information on the tabs found at this form and the fields that may be edited in them, see the sections below.

- To save the change or changes to the item, select the Save icon along the bottom of the Item form. (Click the Cancel icon will cancel any changes, close the Edit Item form and return you to the Manage Items page.)
