Inventory Management

Note: In order to view inventory at this page, the role of the logged-in user must include the Inventory View feature.

At the Inventory Data page,

• Site-location inventory is retrieved and displayed.
• Site inventory may be purged.
• Inventory may be adjusted.
• On hand inventory may be updated with the inventoried count.

Adjusting Inventory

To perform an inventory adjustment to an inventory record, first retrieve the inventory data and then select the inventory record. Next, select the Adjust icon. The Inventory Adjustment form appears: you are able to adjust the inventory quantity at this form.

• For a system that uses the Containers feature, you are able to adjust inventory in both physical locations and containers; see "Adjusting Container Inventory".

Inventory Data Page

The inventory found in the default division of the logged-in user is retrieved and displayed at the Inventory Data page.

Select Inventory > Inventory Data from the navigation pane.

The Inventory Data page appears; all inventory at the logged-in user's default site is automatically displayed onscreen.

For each inventory record the following information is displayed:

• Site
• Location
• Item Number
• Asset Number: (if the Assets feature is being used)
• Quantity: On Hand quantity at this location
• Inv Qty: Inventoried quantity at this location (applies to a site that DOES NOT USE Immediate Count Updates option; only applies to consumable inventory).
• Unit of Measure: item unit of measure
• Serial Number: consumable item serial number (if applicable)
• Lot: consumable item lot (if applicable)
• Expiration Date: consumable item expiration date (if applicable)

Field Chooser

A Field ChooserThe Field Chooser is a dialog window. Use the Field Chooser to add or remove optional fields to the page's grid. is available at the Inventory Data page. To open the Field Chooser, select the Field Chooser icon .

Use the Field Chooser to remove a selected field or fields from this page; see "Field Chooser - Inventory Data Page" for more information.

Filter Criteria Section

When the Inventory Data page opens, all inventory for the default site of the logged-in user is shown.

• The Default Site of the logged-in user is automatically selected in the Site field.
• All inventory is automatically shown for this site.
• If the role of the logged-in user also contains the Assets feature, the Asset Inventory is also shown (see "Inventory Management") for more information.

1. Site: In the Select filter criteria portion of the page, the default site of the logged-in user is automatically selected in the Site field.
   1. You may select another site and view its inventory if your default division contains multiple sites and if you have access rights to another site.
   2. To select another site, click the drop-down arrow in the Site field and select the site from the list that appears.

   

   3. The inventory for this site is loaded onto the Inventory Data page.

   

   4. To clear the Site filter setting and reload the inventory for the logged-in user's default site, click the Clear icon to the right of the Location field.
2. Location: To display inventory for a specific site-location, select the Site in the Site field. Click the drop-down arrow in the Location field and select the location from the list that appears. Container Control (only available when the system uses containers): When your system uses containers, the Location field contains a container control, which enables you to filter the location list to include both physical locations and containers; see "Viewing Container Inventory" and see "Container Control" for more information.
